I tend not to apply a date deadline to a task unless it needs one. My workload really comprises various items of differing priorities, a small number of which have actual deadlines.
I found that if I gave everything a deadline it distorted things as the deadlines seemed to be the primary filter, when in actual fact it is the priority which is the key thing for me. I've kind of sorted this using the following query:
7 days, overdue, p1, p2, p3, p4
This feels a bit cumbersome - is there a shorter way of achieving this?

Unfortunately, there is no other option. If you search for "7 days" or "today" or any other date-related query, the primary sort will always be by date to show the "7 days" schedule you were searching for.
The only option to search by priority is to use the "p1, p2, p3, p4" query which will show all tasks regardless of whether they have a due date or not.
Thank you. I look forward to the new app.
Incidentally, anyone out there using an iPhone who wants to view all, as I mentioned -- I just found a filter command that worked. "view all" seems to be doing the trick. Deceptively simple filter. :)
Thanks again for your reply.
