Sync calendars, etc, across multiple platforms
I'm not sure whether todoist is capable of doing what I want it to do.
I want to sync:
my calendar on my Mac (ical)
my iphone (ical)
my work calender (Outlook for PC's)
my google calendar.
I want all of my calendars to be identical (sync in both directions), without duplicates.
I want to do this for all of my projects/tasks/calendars/notes/contacts/etc.
1. Is todoist capable of doing this?
2. If so, do I need to get the premium subscription?
3. Would I have to get 3 different subscriptions (1 for each platform), or would I be able to do this on just 1 subscription (since I am just 1 user).
4. I'm going to replace my phone this year. If I switch to a windows or google phone, would it still sync properly?
5. How do I set it up?

Todoist Premium allows you to export an iCal feed to any calendar software you want (and which supports the iCal standard) and you can use multiple calendars and you won't have to pay additionally for it. Please watch this video showing how this feature works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE
Please note that the sync is one-way only so you would be able to see your Todoist tasks in your calendar software, but if you add appointments to your calendar, they will not appear in Todoist.

Hi - Any plans to make this synch 2 way so that we can add apps in our calendar that will also appear in todoist?

Thanks for being in touch so quickly. I will check back for the calendar module.
@David: I am looking for a good task management programme and ToDoist made it on my short list. GQueues is a quite good solution as well and provides a two way sync with google calendar. The google calendar offers a two way sync into iCal and thus I have the solution needed. Only disadvantage is, that icloud does not sync as described before.
Conclusion: A two way sync is possible!
Gqueues tasks can have duration as well thus you can plan your time table even better. For me this is close to a must have feature!!
Second advice: Have a look at Taskline, a plug-in for Outlook (PC only). Taskline offers a kind of optimization of your schedule, ie you don´t have to schedule each single task by yourself, it´s all done by Taskline itself taking into consideration your fixed events in Outlook calendar, your priorities and deadlines of each single task. Whenever you add eg another fixed point it Outlook, you just reoptimize your whole schedule. Very nice feature, but unfortunately not for the Mac nor for the web.
Thank you for your feedback. Regarding smart schedule - this is something we're considering for Todoist already. As for two-way sync, technically this is indeed possible, but are they actually using an iCal feed or rather direct integration via Google Apps?
We're looking into alternative solutions to make something like this possible eventually, but for now the way our standard iCal feed works makes it not possible to integrate a direct two-way sync with it.
I consider smart scheduling a really big thing especially as hardly any other competitor offers this feature despite dedicated project management programs. Do you think this will come in the foreseeable future?
GQueues does not sync directly into iCal but into a standard google calendar and this calendar can be synced into iCal, iPhone, and iPad but not into iCloud. There is also a possibility to get access via Google Apps though I don´t use this path and thus have no further knowledge about.
Both features would be a fairly big step forward for ToDoist and would enhance usability tremendously.
