Bulk indent of tasks within a project?
Is it possible to do a bulk indent of tasks within a project?
Here is the use case:
1. I have a new project; I create it and start to add tasks.
2. I realize that the tasks would be better grouped into several major, super tasks, each with a bunch of sub-tasks.
3. I create the super tasks (e.g. for my non-profit: "Fundraising event", "Web site revision", "Team building activity", etc) and want to move each of the previously created sub-tasks to each of these super tasks.
Right now, I think I have to indent each sub-task individually.
I am familiar with multi-select and bulk edits to, say, change the due date or move to another project, but I don't think "indent" is supported as part of this. I also tried Ctrl+-> to indent.
I am using Chrome on a Samsung Chromebook (running ChromeOS).

Hello Mike,
Unfortunately, that's not possible right now. However, you can indent tasks more quickly using the drag & drop feature. To do so, hover over a task, grab it by the drag & drop handle on the left and when you're holding it, press the number keys 1, 2, 3 or 4 to set a new indent level to this task.
This way you can easily grab one task after another and hit 2, for example and set each as a sub-task.

David

Thanks, that works.
FYI
a) it took me a moment to figure out that to indent, "2" is the first indent. "1" does nothing as that is the outermost level. As a case study, know that I tried to indent with "1" first....
b) This reduces it to 2 clicks per item instead of 3, I think. So, that is an improvement. But mult-select would bring it down to 1 click for each plus one additional (to do the final indent. Just food for future thought...

Ernie,
Thank you for your feedback, we will surely consider adding more bulk options in the future. You're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/160/
