bug with ftp links

if I write a note to an ftp site like this:

* userid:password@ftp.website.com

I would like the note to appear like this:

userid:password@ftp.website.com

with the link that is directly activable from Todoist and opens it in a new tab

but the message I see is an unreadable mess and doesn't redirect to the link I want

Hello Jan,

the proper format for inserting links into tasks is:

OPTIONAL_TEXT "LINKED TEXT":(URL)

for example, a link to todoist.com with the URL being the linked text (in a task without a check box) should be:

* "todoist.com":(todoist.com)

Still, it seems that there is a bug with ftp links as neither userid:password@ftp.website.com nor ftp://userid:password@ftp.website.com seem to work.

I have forwarded this to the developers. Thank you for pointing it out and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello Jan,

this bug has been fixed. Now you can post FTP links as tasks using the following formula:

"linked_word":(ftp://username:password@ftp.host.com/)

which will point the linked word to the address used in brackets.
