Text message reminder for Austria (Orange)
Hi, I am from Austria and I have a mobile phone subscription with Orange Austria. I think I have added the correct extension, namely 01149 for calling from the US to Austria but I don't get the test message. I would really like to use the reminder function (via text message) as this is the reason why I went "premium".
I use an iphone - is there another chance (besides e-mail) to get a reminder?
Thanks!

I had a typo: 01143 is correct for Austria - but this is the extension that I am using and which does not work ...

Hello Richard,
our service should be available in Austria. Please try using a direct country code, for example:
+43yournumber
43yournumber
043yournumber
0043yournumber
If none of this works, please let me know.
Best regards,
David

I have tried all the above. None of them works.
Is it possible that my employer's firewall or network restrictions block the todoist webpage from sending a message? I will try it from my private pc.
One more question: are the text messages sent from the US? As far as I know 43mynumber would not work from the US (none of the above would work, maybe +43mynumber).
Do you have another idea on that?
Thank you!

Hi Richard
Have you tried to message yourself via Skype or Google Calendar? What number do you use?
We send a message from the US and you need to include the country code (+43) plus any area code that's used in Austria.
If this does not work we would be glad to give you a refund. Additionally to help us debug the problem could you send an email to david@todoist.com with your full phone number and we'll contact our SMS provider to see where the problem is.
Regards,
Amir

Hi Amir,
I tried a lot of combinations with my mobile phone number. I will send an e-mail to the mail adress above. I would be happy if you could help me on that.
thanks,
Richard

Hello Richard,
we have made some necessary changes in our SMS reminder service for non-US users.
From now on, you should be able to receive SMS reminders everywhere outside the USA. Please try to use the "Sent a test" option in reminders and/or set up a reminder for the nearest future using your full phone number incl. country and/or area code and let us know in case you experience any further issues.
Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
David

Hi David,
now it works perfectly.
I use my phone number in the form
+43699...
and it works.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Richard
