Outlook date
Hi,
I can't enter a "Due Date" using Outlook calendar function.
If I click on Due Date in Add Task Menu the Calendar-Box opens, but then after clicking on a particular date the calendar is closing - but no date is set.
Just via "manual date input" (typing) it works properly.
I am using:
Windows 7, 64 bit
Outlook 2007
cheers
Markus

Hello Markus,
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue. Please tell me:
- What exact due date are you picking from the calendar?
- How are you adding the task - using the"Quick Add" feature or the "Add task" link within a project?
- What version of Internet Explorer do you have installed on your computer (the Outlook plugin always uses IE to connect)?
Best regards,
David

Hi David,
I can send you some screenshots, if you give me your email address. (you can send it to my google account)
Nevertheless here are the details:
- doesnt matter which date im picking, it never works
- if I am open the task and then click into the "Date field" a small calender box opens. (doesn't look for me like an IE feature, btw.)
then I am clicking in, but no date will be added to task...
- IE 9.0
best
Markus

Markus,
Regarding your second answer - so you're opening an existing task and adding a date to it (while it didn't have a date originally) and not adding a new task nether through Quick Add or the "Add task" link?
You're welcome to send screenshots to david@todoist.com
Best regards,
David

Dear David,
I face the exact same problem as Markus. I also use IE9/Win 7, but Outlook 2010.
I know it worked once, but since a few weeks it doesn't anymore.
When you click on the date you wish in the little calendar, the date field is emptied, instead of filled. I wonder whether it's a laguange problem? In Switzerland we use the German language. So far I didn't try any other language settings in Windows.
When I enter a date manually, it would only accept following format: "23/1 2013" for 23rd of January 2013. Things like "23 Jan" don't work anymore (error message "ungültiges Datum" --> "invalide date").
Since I use the ToDoIst add-in every day (Premium), I would appreciate a solution very much.
Thanks so much,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,
Thank you very much for this information, I've been able to reproduce this issue now. It seems to occur only in the non-English versions.
Markus, could you please confirm if you're also using Todoist in a different language than English?
I have forwarded this issue to the developers and we'll try to fix this issue as soon as we can. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
David

Hi David,
well, yes i am using the German Version - also.
I also think its probably connected to the language issue.
BTW: there are a couple of translation bugs in it. I send you some screens.
best regards
Markus
