Parent and child tasks are marked complete, yet tasks are shown as active?
I created two tasks yesterday morning, one with twp child tasks and one with four child tasks.
As the day progressed, I checked the child tasks as complete. The parent tasks did not 'auto complete' when all child tasks were complete, so I checked the parent tasks complete when all of the child tasks were complete under that parent task.
Even when the parent task was marked complete, both parent tasks are still shown in the active list of tasks, but only when I list that Project; those tasks are not shown in the 'today, overdue' list, even though one of the Tasks is flagged as being due Yesterday @ 4:00 PM.
I've tried logging out of the web app and signing back in with the same results.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions.

Parent tasks never auto-complete when sub-tasks are completed. You can force any sub-task to be removed from the list when holding the SHIFT key while checking it off.
Completing the parent task should have moved the entire structure to the history. Please tell me:
- Are you sure that the parent task is not indented by any level? Try to click on its name to enter edit mode and then use Ctrl+LeftArrow to see if it can be unindented?
- Is the parent task also a sub-task of another parent task or a task group (a task with an asterisk * in front of its name)?
Thanks for FAST response!
1. The parent task is not indented; it 'left most' under the Project
2. I've checked all nine Projects (just starting Todoist!) and all tasks, but don't see that this Parent is a sub-task of another parent and also see no task groups
Of course, all of the above is moot: I held the SHIFT check while checking off the parent tasks and the parents were completed. I then 'uncompleted' those parent tasks and checked the parents again (without holding the SHIFT key) and, of course, the parents completed! :)
Thanks for your tip about SHIFT ... I'll add that to Evernote! :)
Could you please send me a screenshot to firstname.lastname@example.org ?
It is technically not possible for a parent task not to be removed from the list when checked off and we'd like to reproduce and fix this issue as soon as we can, but we need to see what situation did this issue occur exactly.
For privacy reasons, you can blur out or remove the names of the tasks on the image of the screenshot.
I *wish* I could send you a screen shot of this, but I've been unable to replicate this problem. I've tried 'Getting completed tasks' and 'uncompleting' them, but now when the tasks are completed, the tasks *do* properly complete.
I've also tried adding new tasks, as I did before, but I still can't replicate the situation.
Sorry, I wish I had taken screen shots yesterday; I will be sure to take screen shots if this issue resurfaces.
