How can I send a task's list to someone?
Hi,
I've just started using todoist.
I use it mainly to manage my team.
Each member is a project with tasks assigned.
Every Monday, I'd like to send them their tasks' list. How can I do that?
Thanks in advance,
Mathilde

Hello Mathilde,
unfortunately, that's not possible. Todoist is primarily a personal to-do manager, but for team based work, you can try out Wedoist.
It allows you to invite people to projects, assign tasks specifically for them and each team member will be able to complete his tasks as well as add comments, updates and share files/documents (if necessary).
Go to http://wedoist.com , check out our Guided Tours and feel free to open an account and try it out.
Best regards,
David

Hi,
Is that possible to add a feature to Todoist in order to send a single task to someone? By sending a task, I mean just send a mail like a reminder, not giving the ability the receiver to manage or complete the task.
For example: if one of my projects is "Vacation", perhaps one task could be "don't forget the camera" and perhaps the task has to be done by my friend, right? So in this example, I just need to send a reminder to my friend. I don't need to create a Wedoist account to do that.
Another solution could be the creation of a unique ID for both of the 2 soft or the creation of a unified view of the todo-lists of Todoist and Wedoist.
What do you think about that?
P.S: the thing is that I don't want to have 2 accounts to manage my personnal and my professionnal todos and I really (!!!) need a Firefox plugin at work (so I can't use Wedoist).

Hello Sylvain,
thank you very much for your feedback, we are indeed planning to merge both our products and make them interchangeable so you could delegate tasks through Wedoist to someone using Todoist or vice-versa. We will also consider releasing browser plugins for Wedoist.
For now, it is only possible to add a task to someone else's Todoist account if they add your email address on the list of accepted addresses at the bottom of the window where you can find the unique project ID (accessible through the envelope icon at the top of your task list in any project).
This way, you can also use the <remind> tag within such email to set up a reminder. You could create one separate "Inbox" or "Reminders" project just for the purpose of receiving such tasks/reminders.
Note - if you use an asterisk * at the beginning of the subject title in a mail, the added task will have no check box and could only act as a "reminder".
Best regards,
David

Yes! This is an absolute must--most individuals who keep tasks are organized and need to then be able to delegate to others in some form or another.

David,
I really like Todoist as it is a great GTD tool. I am able to do some quite sophisticated things in the application that I have not been able to do in some other GTD tools. That said, I really do need to be able to delegate a task from Todoist to someone else via email (preferred) or to assign it to another Todoist user.
I signed up for a Wedoist account to see if it would be an option, but it is severely lacking from a personal GTD perspective. I have no need for the collaborative, social networking aspects of Wedoist.
Please do not forsake the great benefits of Todoist as you merge your products. Thanks.
Tom
