mac OS app not loading
Todoist App on my Mac OS was running fine earlier today but I now cannot open it. It continues to spin with a "loading" symbol. What's going on?

Hello Lesley,
Please try to clear Safari's cache or log out and back into the Mac app or try to reinstall it if neither of the above helps.
Best regards,
David

I have the same problem. Tried clearing my cache, logging out and reinstalling the mac app but still won't get past the starting up (3 squares) screen.

Hello Phil,
Please tell me - can you log into your Todoist account directly through todoist.com using your browser or does the issue persist there as well?
Best regards,
David

Hi David
I can log in online and on the iphone app. All works fine.
Just the mac app I can't get past the startup screen.
Thanks

David,
I still have not been able to get the mac os app to work. Tried emptying cache, logging out and re-installing the app but it still doesn't load. The online version and iphone app work fine for me as well.
Thanks,
Lesley

I have the exact same issue occurring on my Mac. I can access ToDoist from the web, from my iPhone, but the Mac app just continues to try to connect

Hi all
You can try to "Logout" using the TD menu icon. This will reset all state.
We are unsure what the problem is and would love if somebody could point us the steps on how to reproduce this.
Best regards,
Amir

Hi Amir
I cannot see any options to logout in the menus. Can you clarify how to do this please?
Thanks

Amir,
Please click link for ToDoist screenshot:

Upon launching the Mac app, the app stays in this state.
I've tried the following:
1. Quitting the app and relaunching (Please note there is no menu option available to logout; I can only quit the app)
2. Deleting the app and reinstalling the app.
3. Clearing the Chrome cache.
None of the above methods worked to restore data connection to the app.
I use my Google account paired with two-factor authentication to log into ToDoist.
Thanks,
Jules

Hi All
You need to click Logout from the TD menu, please see this screenshot:

That has resolved it for me thanks. I logged out via the TD menu bar and logged back in via my google account.
Looks like its a google account login issue to me.
Is everyone else with an issue logging in via their google account?
Thanks Amir

Yes, fixed it for me too, thanks Amir!
I was also using my Google account to log in to Todoist.

Thank you for the screenshot, Amir. Totally missed the TD menu on the right. It's working for me now as well.
I am also logging in with Google.
