CTRL-Click Update no longer working
After the graphical update to the CTRL-Click task selection (they now turn blue when selected), the "Update" feature for recurring tasks no longer works properly for me. I have the same problem in both Firefox and IE:
When Update is clicked, the due dates of all the selected recurring tasks appear to move (e.g., they then include the text "Moved to X", where X is the next appropriate day, but when the task list is reloaded, the tasks remain with their previous overdue due dates. The Update feature was important to me and I would like to see it repaired. Thanks!

this feature seems to work properly when in project view, but from the "overdue" search result, it's just as you've described. Thank you for pointing it out, I have forwarded this to the developers. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Please let me know if you're experiencing this issue only in the "overdue" view or also in the project view.

Yes it does work from the project view. That will provide a workaround, thank you.
But, I bet that most users CTRL-click and Update from the "overdue" search, so the fix is eagerly anticipated.
I've been waiting for this issue to be resolved and checking back today, I see it is marked "answered." This is confusing. Perhaps using the designations "working on" and "resolved" would add clarification. "Answered" could be for comments, suggestions, howto questions, etc.
Anyway. Not being able to update recurring tasks while in my daily view, which includes overdue, is frustrating.
I'm sorry for the confusion. The "answered" mark is added automatically whenever a staff member posts an answer in the particular thread.
As for the issue - we are still working on it and we will inform you as soon as we fix it.
Sorry for any inconvenience it might have caused you.
I'm using this on IE 8, and the change date function on the project pages (not the overdue view) is NOT working for a task with subtasks (either on the parent task, or on the children tasks). I've tried it with Compatibility Mode both on and off. The only way I can update the date at all is to alter the due date field (like changing "every 1" to "every 2") and clicking Save on each one individually.
this bug has been fixed, you can now select multiple tasks (while holding the Ctrl key) in the "overdue" view and choose "update date" from the top menu to change the due dates of recurring tasks to the next available date according to their formula.
