Mobile notification not working (but testing it works)
I have a task scheduled weekly on Sat @ 19:00 ET.
I have two reminders: email 30 minutes prior, and mobile 10 minutes prior. I get the email but not the mobile SMS message.
When I "Send a test SMS" via the Reminders tab in Settings, it works immediately.
Why am I not getting the text message associated with my Sat night task?

Please try to set the default reminder method to "SMS", then add a task with a specific due time and let me know if you receive the message 30 minutes before the deadline. If not, you can also try to choose a different outgoing host from the "Number to sent from" drop-down list in the Reminder settings.
David, I did the above and got the same results. With SMS as my default and with SMS as my default and a different outgoing host selected.
Note that when I created my test tasks, I did not leave the default SMS notification at 30 minutes. Instead I deleted that and I added an email 30 mins prior and SMS 10 mins prior. (Again, I got the email and not the SMS.)
So, I did one more test: a repeating weekly event at a specific time (11pm), but this time I only used the default notification of SMS 30 mins prior. And ... voila, it worked. I got the SMS notification.
So, I did yet another test: a repeating weekly event at a specific time (11:35pm), but this time I removed the default 30 min SMS notification and put only a single SMS notification for 10 mins. This also worked.
It seems having the combination of a non-default email and non-default SMS notification on the same task breaks the SMS notification. Can this be fixed?

Unfortunately, we haven't found any indication for such issue to occur in our system.
Please tell me - if you've received the first reminder via email, did you use the link in the message to complete this task or, if it's recurring - shift the due date of it in which case the second SMS reminder would no longer be sent as the task has been altered?

I don't think I did this. And for the test tasks that I created, I'm certain I did not do this. To test: I created a task about an hour in the future, removed any default notifications, and added two notifications (email 30 mins prior and SMS 10 mins prior).
I did two more rounds of test today and I didn't get any notifications. If you can't duplicate the problem and no one else is having this issue, then perhaps there is a way for me to reset my account and start over.
We've looked over the complete code that handles reminders and we couldn't find any indication of a bug hat would cause this issue. However, please note that any change in the task's date may overwrites its default SMS reminder.
It's highly unlikely that it's an account-based issue. Could you please run one more test:
1. Make sure "SMS reminder" is set as your default in the Settings.
2. Add a task without setting a reminder within its name using the <remind> tag, but with a due time that's more than 40 minutes from the moment you create it.
3. Do not remove the default reminder, but add another relative email reminder set to 10 minutes before.
Let me know which notifications you receive. Also, please repeat the exact same steps (after the deadline of the first task passes), but this time, set "email" as your default reminder option and add a 10 minutes before SMS reminder.
Ignore the very last thing I said before about not getting any notifications. I forgot I was filtering emails for the project that I was testing in to my work address. So, I was getting the email notifications and not the SMS notifications ... in other words it's the same situation I described to begin with.
I'm doing the additional testing you asked for. I'll update you later.
Note that you've asked me to add a task at a due time more than 40 minutes out ... I'm doing that (with a due date of "today @ now-plus-an-hour", e.g., "today @ 19:00"), but I wanted to point out that the events I've been testing with have been weekly repeating events with due dates similar to "ev sat @ 19:00".
I wasn't sure if you had been testing that scenario or if that could make any difference.

These both worked. I got the default SMS 30min prior + the added email 10min prior, and then on the second one, I got the default email 30min prior + the added SMS 10min prior.
THEN I did a third test. Same as the last one (email 30min prior + the added SMS 10min prior), however this time I scheduled the task using "ev sat @ 22:00" instead of "today @ 22:00". I got the email, but I did not get the SMS.
So, the difference being the last test was a repeating task.
Hopefully this helps reproduce the problem.
