iPhone app and GMail links
Love the new iPhone app, but there is one problem that makes it a little hard for me to use.
I use gmail links extensively in my tasks, and they don't show up as expected in the iPhone app. I understand that making them links might be hard (or impossible?) so maybe just the link text should be shown.

Hello Ben,
In order to use a link to a message, please tap on the task and once the task options roll out (complete, postpone, edit etc.), the link within the task should become active and when you tap on it, the message should open in your mobile browser.
Please let me know if this solves the problem. If not, tell me:
- Which version of iOS do you have on your phone?
- Could you send a screenshot to david@todoist.com showing the "active" link (after one tap on he task name with the options rolled out)?
Best regards,
David

I have the same problem. After I convert a Gmail email into a task, i then archive the original email. It seems the link within the Todoist task is based on the original location of the email, because when i click on the link in the task, it just opens to my Gmail inbox. It does not display the original email. Again, this only happens on the iPhone app. If i'm still within GMail and use the Todoist extension, the correct email will pull up if I click on the link.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Travis

I have a same problem.
In ios app, I cannot access proper gmail.
When I click the gmail link on ios app, the g-mail app pops up.
But that's it. It just show Inbox, not the e-mail connected to the each task.
Any update for this?

Hello Jason,
Please clarify - does this only happen when you use the GMail app? By default, this should open GMail in your mobile browser and point you to the message there.
Best regards,
David

I meant the safari, not gmail app. Sorry my bad.
Anyway when i click the gmail link on ios app, safari browser pops up, but it only shows inbox, not a proper e-mail.

Jason,
I see there are only 3 mails in your inbox, please tell me - have you moved the messages you've added to Todoist to a different folder after you've added them?
Also, does this only happen on the iPhone app or does the issue persist if you access these links on a computer through the web-app?
We're currently working on a brand new iOS app and we hope it will address this issue.
Best regards,
David

David,
On web-app(chrome extension), it works perfect.
No matter which folder I put an mail, I can access directly to it by clicking g-mail link on the task.
But in ios app, it doesn't work.
It is not the matter of folder location of each mail.
It should work as same as on the chrome extension.
Please fix this problem.
Regards,
Jason from Korea
