Order by date *descending*
is it possible to order the tasks of a project in descending order, thus, having the sooner tasks on top of the list?

The default sorting order if you use the "Sort by date" option is already descending, for example - it will display tasks due:
- next week,
- next month
It will also display overdue tasks at the top since the order is chronological. Tasks with no due dates will be displayed at the very bottom. Please clarify - what order would you prefer or, in case your tasks get sorted differently - what browser are you using and can you reproduce it in a different browser?
if I hit Sort by date (to make sure it re-sorts, I've clicked Sort by name first), the order looks like this: http://j.mp/QV9WWy - so it's ascending, not descending...
I'm using Firefox 16.0.2 on Windows 7.
Another issue, but not very important to me: dates (i.e. month and day names) are not being translated, see http://php.net/manual/de/function.setlocale.php in case you're using PHP. ;)
Unfortunately, I still can't reproduce this issue. When I click on "Sort by date" I get the exact opposite results (a descending order, as it should be).
Please try to change your language settings to English, then use a different browser (one that you haven't used before), go directly to https://todoist.com (don't use any bookmarks), add a new test project with a couple of test tasks with different dates and try to use the sorting option and let me know if the issue persist.
As for the date names - we're using Python on the back-end, and even though the names are translated, they may not display as translated as adding the support for multi-lingual dates can't be done just using a language file (as we do). For example, the function recognizing "tom" as "tomorrow" would have to recognize all other common shortcuts in all languages ("mor" for "morgen", "Di" for "Dienstag" instead of "Tue" for "Tuesday" etc.). We will of course consider adding full multi-lingual support even in this matter in the future.
this is weird...
I've now tested the same function in Google Chrome (current version), deleted the cache before, sort order is still ascending...
Even adding a new project with new tasks doesn't help: http://j.mp/Y30ioM
As I said, the date names are not an issue for me, just wanted to mention it.
please tell me, what version number do you see in the URL? It should be v=73 right now.
Also, if it is v=73, please try to create a new free Todoist account (just for testing purposes) and repeat the test - add a project, a couple of tasks with different dates and sort them. Does the issue persists on the new account?
