Tasks Not Sorting by Priority ... Once Again
So Wednesday, I had to manually sort all my tasks because it wasn't sorting by priority. Then everything was fine yesterday.
Today... totally random sorting again. Even tasks of the same priority aren't together. Sorting seems like a pretty easy function to program, not sure why Todoist can't do it consistently.
Yes, as usual, I cleared my cache and history again, which I only have to do because of Todoist. No, nothing's changed, same version of Chrome as always, no new plugins installed.

unfortunately, we still can't reproduce this issue. Please tell me - can you create a couple of test tasks due today with different priorities and let me know if they also appear in random places in the today list?
Also - does any of these tasks have a due time? Are they all tasks on the same indent level?
If you can remember any pattern which might have trigger this issue, it could also greatly help us identify the source of this issue, for example - does this happen only if you reload your browser or only at certain times (at midnight when the date changes, for instance)?
Tasks with due times go right to the top of the list as usual, I only have a couple. New tasks seem to be sorting properly, at least they are group with others of the same priority.
After some deep breaths, here's where I see the pattern. When I have a large number of overdue tasks when I log in in the morning, I move them all to be due to today. That is when all the sorting blew up today - when I finished moving all the tasks due yesterday to today.
Right now, since I cleared the history and cache and rebooted, all the priorty 2 tasks are together and all the priority 3 tasks are together, but the priority 3 tasks come first. There was a random priority 1 task at the bottom of the list, but I manually moved it to the top with the other priority 1s.
Earlier this week I had the same problem where the priority 3 tasks came before priority 2 and I have to manually move them.
thank you for this information, please tell me - how exactly did you move the overdue tasks to today? Through drag & drop, through postponing each single task or changing the date through multi-select and the "change date" function (or "postpone" on a multi-selected group)?
multi-selecting can be done by left-clicking on a task while holding the Ctrl key. Once you select the first task, a menu will appear at the top with some option that can be performed on all selected tasks.
I've been able to reproduce this issue now. Not by moving yesterday's task to today, but the other way around - after multi-selecting a bunch of tasks with different priorities due today, they got moved to yesterday with a different order (p1, then 2xp2, then another 2 tasks with p1 etc.).
I have passed this issue to the developers and we will try to fix this issue permanently as soon as we can. Thank you very much for your detailed information.
