can't log on - Windows XP, Firefox 5
I just downloaded the Firefox ToDoist ap, and the other day I granted permission for todoist to use my local resources.
I try to use the T button from the firefox nav frame, I get the log-on screen with my name and password already auto-filled, but when I hit Log In nothing happens.

please try clearing your browser cache.
If this doesn't work, go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy, choose "Use custom settings for history" and make sure "accept cookies from sites" and "accept 3rd party cookies" are both checked. Click "Exceptions", add todoist.com on the list and click "Allow".
Restart Firefox and/or reinstall the Todoist add-on. If it still won't work, go to Tools -> Advanced -> Network tab. You will see todoist.com on the lists of sites that have stored data for offline use. Select it and click "Remove".
Also, you can try to sign into Todoist directly through the website and without signing out, access the Todoist sidebar.

I have this same problem (also XP and Firefox 5), except that my problem is not with the sidebar -- it's with the main web app.
I tried David's solution to no avail - which makes me happy because I would rather not enable 3rd party cookies.
I have found, however, that I can log in if I first remove the todoist.com offline data.
This is completely reproducible. If I allow offline data and then log out, and I am not able to log back in. If I remove offline data fist, I can immediately log in.
I hope that this helps. Fortunately, I don't really have any need for offline data access.
It would be nice to have it sometimes, though, so I hope that you're able to work out the issues.
Thanks for a great service.

Thanks for the answer. I just needed to follow the 2nd step and after the reboot Todoist was happy.
