Info: In the German Version when adding a new task the icon for an email reminder (clock) is shown ...
... although I did not activate reminders. Then I looked into the reminder survey and now reminder is programmed. So it seems to be a "design" problem ...
I switched to the english version and the clock dissabpeared ...
Dear Todoist Team,
you have done a great job to make Todoist available in so many languages!
Thank you!
Kind regards

Hello Josef,
unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue.
Please go to Einstellungen -> Erinerrungen and make sure that "Keine Standart-Erinerrung" is selected from the "Standart-Erinerrung" drop-down menu.
If "Email" or "Handy" are selected, each time you add a task with a particular due time, a reminder will be set to 30 minutes before deadline automatically.
If you do have "Keine Standart-Erinerrung" selected and still are seeing the clock icon whenever you add a task, please log out of Todoist, go to your browser's Settings, clear your cache and offline storage, reload your browser and log back into todoist.com (make sure you don't have a bookmark pointing elsewhere).
If the issue persists, please tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in at least one other browser?
Best regards,
David
Hallo David,
thanks for the fast reply!
I did some experiments and here are the results:
The same problem is in the English Version and when I use Internet Explorer. My Standard is Firefox.
It turned out that it is more a bothering thing - as every time if I log out and again in the clock is gone. So the clock is only shown the first time a due-time is programmed in the due field. And it is ONLY SHOWN - with no function, as I believe in the information that no reminders are set, if I let me show the reminders for the newly added task. And anyway the icon is gone the next time I log in ...
So it is only a superficial thing for me as I don't work usually with reminders so I don't need the feed back wether the reminder is set or not ...
Kind regards
Josef

Josef,
I've been able to reproduce this issue now. It is indeed purely visual and will not set a reminder for this task.
Still, I have passed it to the developers and it will be fixed soon. Thank you very much for your report.
Best regards,
David
