Moblie login when using google account login
As the tagline says I can't get the login on the iOS app to work. When I signed up I choose to login using my Google account, does that restrain me from using the app?
I tried putting in my google details, but it didn't work. And the forgot password function doesn't work either. Am I doing something complete wrong or is the app still new and under development or something?

the option to sign up using a Google Account has been added very recently and we have noticed this issue and are trying to fix it as soon as we can.
If you've signed up just recently and don't have many tasks on your account, you could create another one and then link it to your Google Account afterwards (through Preferences -> Google Authorizations) this will allow you to access the mobile app using your Todoist password (not your Google password).
To do so, go to Preferences -> Account, use the "Delete my account" option at the bottom (which will permanently delete your account and all data associated with it) and then use the regular sign up (you can type your Gmail address and choose a new password manually).

I am also experiencing problems logging in with the iPhone app. I just downloaded it this afternoon (after trying the new and improved web version of Todoist) and I can't get anything to work. I am not trying to use a Google account.
I've tried the username and password I had before, and then went into preferences and changed the p/w to something easy to type (in case I was somehow making an inadvertent error).
No luck. The same is true when I tried the mobile version in the iPhone browser.
And, like the person above reported, the "forgot password" link on the iPhone app does not work.

I followed your directions and cleared the cache and all related history items for my Safari browser. After that I clicked on the TD icon and was taken directly to a page that had 2 fields asking for username and password. When I entered both, I received an error message stating that either the username or password was not recognized.
I did a few work-related things after that, and then came back here (laptop, Chrome browser, version 20.0....) to see if a response had been posted. It was probably 30 minutes and by that time, no "reply box" was available at the end of this comment string.
The top right corner of the page said I needed to login to post a question, so I clicked the Log in button. I was taken to a new TD page that I hadn't seen before, and this time the display looked almost identical to the mobile page on my iPhone. There were 2 fields asking for my username and password. When I entered both several times, I received the same error message I kept getting on my phone - "The username or password is not recognized.)
There was a "forgot password" link and when I clicked it, my Gmail account was logged out. I had to log back in to Gmail, and then click the "reset password" link in Gmail to get back into my TD account. Once I reset the password to the web version this time, the mobile app worked fine. I tried to login to get the exact error message script for you...but I went right to my main TD page.
All seems to be well now, but not sure what happended there, or why my Gmail account was reset. I generally try not to link accounts together when I can avoid doing so, and I don't generally login to other accounts using Gmail, Facebook, etc.
