Boolean operators with dates behaving strangely

JS

Hi support,

I mentioned following slight issue with smart search. If I specify the following query:
@work & (today, overdue)
I get no results, despite the fact there are tasks due today with @work context.

On the other hand, if I switch the terms, and write the query like this:
(today, overdue) & @work
I get all the tasks marked @work with due date today.

Shouldn't both of these queries be equivallent, or am I missing something? The specific context/dates are insignificant, ie. "@home & (7 days, overdue)" has the same issue.

Thanks in advance!
Jarda

Hello Jarda,

It's complicated. Theoretically, these should of course both work and we'll look into fixing this, though the code for this is really complex and must account for so many situations that there are indeed a few combinations that appear correct, but won't work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,
David

Thanks David.

No biggie, just making sure you know about this.
