Hi Steve,

Can you tell me the exact steps.

- You clicked on Quick Add, typed name, typed date? Or selected from calendar?

selected todoist app from MAC, click on Today on left and hit + on top to add activity - it then populates 20 March?

Steve,

When I use that + button no date is added.

When did you update our app last? Which version are you running?

Hi<

I see your gear icon in the top right is green, this means there is a background app. Please update it. Does it still happen?

Also, please check Todoist.com's settings (can access through the apps gear icon) and make sure the timezone is the same as your desktops.

Yes all updated but it still populates 16 July per my screen shot.  The top right gear is no longer green.

What next?

Steve,

I will pass this along and see if we can find the cause. Please note, though you can easily just remove it and enter what you'd like before saving. I know its not ideal.

Sorry about this.

Steve,

From the apps settings, try using the Clear Cache. Also, head into Safari (our app uses this) and reset it as well.

I am having the exact same issue. Updated this morning, cleared the cache on Safari and ToDoist, still get December 2, 2013 as the default date for new tasks. I do not want to have to see this each time I create a new task.

Steven,

We are looking into this issue now, its not just the Mac App, but all.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem: when I click the "+" for "Quick Add Task" (using the MacOS app) the due date automatically populates to August 16th, but today is August 26th. I'm using the latest version (5-153), although I had to manually update as I had the known problem with the previous version not automatically updating.

Having the same issue. My default date is August 31st 2013 and the calendar is showing for 2013 even though the pre-selected dates are August 2014.

Hello,

This issue has been fixed, but requires deleting Todoist's offline cache. This can be done:

In Chrome - go to Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, find and delete all Todoist-based entries on this list.

In Firefox - go to Options -> Advanced -> Network and delete Todoist-based entries from the list of sites storing offline data.

In Outlook or the Windows app, delete the "Cache" folder located in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Todoist\Windows ... or \Outlook.

Regards,
David

Steven,

Please clear the cache in Safari, log out and back in and it should apply the changes.
