Windows file is not connecting

A

4 weeks ago all worked properly. Since 1 week double klick on the links opens the program but it is not connecting to the web and does not show log-in mask. I already uninstalled the program and re-installed it but it does not work.

Any further idea?

Hi,

Which OS are you running? And to clarify, so it shows a blank page, a loading icon, or what exactly happens? If you use the TD menu in the system tray, to go Home or any of the options does anything happen?

Brendon

Hi Brendon,

I’m running Windows7.

When I double-click on the icon, the blank page opens. Afterwards we TD-icon appears and the “3 squares” start blinking. That’s it… nothing else happens. Usually, the log-in page should appear.
I hope that was enough to explain a little the problem.

Regards,
Antonio

Hello Antonio,

Please try to quit the app, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Todoist\Windows, delete the "Cache" folder there, then launch the app and see if it helps.

If it doesn't, please tell us, did you import large amounts of tasks or added many tasks lately (and by many I mean over 5,000 tasks)? Also, can you remember what was the last thing you did in the app before it stopped connecting? Did you also start using any new anti-virus software or connecting through proxies?

Regards,
David
