Trying to add todolist to outlook...cannot connect to server

WE

This add-in works on my laptop and on my Android phone, but won't install on my home office pc using Outlook I have it on my toolbar for Chrome, but it would be much better to have it integrated into Outlook. When I run the .exe file, I get a "cannot connect to server" error. Any help appreciated. I'm using MS Office Professional 2010.

Hi Willard,

Have you re-downloaded from http://todoist.com/outlook recently? Are you running the installer with Admin Rights (Run As Admin, Right Click Menu)?

Willard,

I cant reproduce this. You are connected to the internet correct? Do you have any anti-virus or similar blocking items?

Willard,

If it gets disabled, is the issue still happening?

Hello Willard,

Please tell me, are you using a proxy server to connect? If so, is it correctly configured in Internet Explorer's settings (our plugin will use these settings to connect)?

Also, please make sure you have VSTO and .NET Framework installed on your computer (you can get them directly from Microsoft's site).

Regards,
David

I'm not using a proxy server. I'll check on both VSTO and .net framework. Thanks.

Problem solved. One of the latest MS updates crashed my computer (thanks Bill). After restoring it, my Norton antivirus and firewall was blocking everything, even my printer. After I uninstalled it, everything including the Outlook todo add-in works fine. Thanks.
