Cannot add a label on tablet but can on desktop

R

I use a Samsung Tab S 10.5 tablet running the latest version of KitKat. I cannot add a label while using the tablet, but I can add a label using my desktop. On the desktop screen, under the list of labels there is a link that says Add a Label. On the tablet this is missing. How can I add a label from the tablet?

Hi Ron,

Besides just typing @labelname into the task name, there should indeed be a menu item when adding or editing a task. Can you show me a screenshot of this menu?

Thanks Brendon. Please see the attachment showing my desktop screen and my tablet screen side by side.

Ron,

You are on the Projects view, head upwards a bit, you see Projects, Labels, Filters. You need to click on Labels first to see an option to add one.

Sorry Brandon, I guess I sent the wrong screen shot from my tablet. Please see the new attached screenshot. As you can see, the add label function is not showing, but on my desktop it shows and I can use it to add a label. The new label will show on the tablet.

Ron,

You need to hit the gear icon to the right of the Main Labels drop-down.

I hit the gear and do not get a drop down. What I get is a trash can to the left of each label and on the right side of each label I get a edit pencil that allows me to edit the label name.

You are right. I didn't notice the plus sign to the right of the word Label and when I hit the plus it allows me to add a label. Thanks for your help.
