How can I link or add a contact to a Task?

I'd like to be able to create a task, say, "Call Dr. Flowers" and be able to have the contact name be clickable (and take me to the iOS Contacts app) or have an Optional Field from where I can select the Contact.

Is there a way to embed contact info, as above or some other way?

Hello Ed,

That's unfortunately not possible, but we may consider adding such option in the future.

For now, as a workaround, you can enter the related phone number into a task note and iOS will make the number clickable (in the task note) so you can dial it right-away.

Please do add this -- it would be a fantastic feature.

Just started using todoist and love it!

I'm surprised that something so basic and integral isn't already incorporated into a product that's as slick and well-designed as yours. Please make this a priority. It will be very appreciated!

I was just searching for this feature but unfortunately, there is no update since August in this thread. That is for me a reason not to upgrade to Premium.

Can you estimate when such a basic feature will be available?

Hello Thorsten,

Unfortunately, we don't know if or when we'll add such feature, but for now please note that phone numbers are clickable (to dial) in our mobile apps (in notes).
