Not syncing, and now not showing any tasks

Todoist on my iphone was saying that it was syncing, but it wasn't showing changes that I'd made on my laptop to Todoist on the web. From seeing another post here, I deleted TD from my phone, turned it off, used the button to issue a new API token, rebooted the phone, and then downloaded the app again. Then it was telling me I had the wrong password, so I changed the password. Eventually I figured out how to open it on my phone again, but now it's showing no tasks at all. I tried loggin out and back in again on my phone, but get an error message. No real info - just says "error". I'm lost. I'm just I have the right password. I just reset it a few minutes ago, and it worked too. And that doesn't even get to the problem of my missing task, or the original problem that it's not syncing.

Hi Roy,

Are you using the latest version of our iOS app? How did you sign-in? Was it via your Google account or manually? Please try both options if you haven't and let me know if that doesn't make a difference.

Well, now it's working fine again. Didn't do anything different. Just woke up this morning and everything is fine. So that's good.

But honesty, and I'm not saying this to complain, but this is why I don't think I'll ever pay for Todoist. It's just not reliable enough. Most of the time it's great, and the functions and features are really, really useful, but every once in a while it just doesn't work, which means I can't trust it with anything that's very important. If you ever get TD to the point that it's as reliable as a piece of paper, I'll be first in line to subscribe. But, until then it's just a handy little tool to have as long as it's free.

And now it's not syncing on my iphone again. It says it is, but it's not. It was working this morning, and now it's not again. I think I'm just going to try and find something more stable. Thanks anyway. Best of luck.

Roy,

Sorry to hear that. There is an update coming soon addressing many issues, that could be related to your issue. A re-install could help as well.

I did re-install and it's working again. Which is a big relief. I wasn't looking forward to trying to transfer all of that info. Thanks.
