Can you please please please make it easier and allow us to just add a date for the reminders pleaaaaase :-)

AP

I want to be able to add a reminder that is every month on the 15th - or sometimes I just want to pick a specific date and it's soo frustrating.

I've done this but it isn't really that clear - much easier to just have a date. I need confidence in what we use - please please please just make it simple :-).

Oh and this one - I want to repeat every fortnight. I've been setting the reminder but how do I set the actual task to repeat not just the reminder. Again much easier if we can set reminders from calendar/dates. :-)

Hi Annie,

Have you tried using relative reminders? For example, you can set reminders 10 mins. before the due date and time of a task. That way, you don't need to define the due date of the reminder.

Please note that the relative reminder option is only available if you've included a due time on a task.

Clyde

Hi Clyde,

Thank you but that's not what I'm after - I want to define a due date for
the reminder - hope you can help and make it easier :-)

Hi Annie,

I see. Just to clarify, do you need to set the tasks as a recurring task? Once you've completed a task, it will not show up anymore. We may change this in the future but there's no guarantee when exactly that will happen if ever our developers do decide to implement it.

I know that' not the answer you're looking for but changing feature behaviour doesn't always get implemented right away. :-(

Hi Annie,

You can recur both tasks and reminders. For example:

Task - "every 15 @ 10am" would create a task that would recur every 15th of the month and is due on 10am on that day

Reminders - "ev 2nd tue" would create a reminder on the 2nd Tuesday of every week regardless of the due date.

My first suggestion was to use relative reminders so that you can recur tasks and set reminders accordingly (ex. 10 mins. before time). Just to confirm, you we're asking for a way to enter a date easily (maybe using a calendar?) when setting a recurring reminder, correct? If not, what exactly do you need for it to work better for you?

We have a great reference guide that you might want to checkout. You can find it here: https://todoist.com/Help/DatesTimes

Annie,

"every 2 weeks starting August 25" would be the syntax for that.
