Chris,

Do you have any other extensions installed? So you mean if you click on Todoist, anywhere at all, even a blank area, it will open a webpage and go to Twitter?

Chris,

So you don't have any other extensions installed for Outlook? As there is no reason why it should be opening a webpage (pop-up) for any reason other than actual links. I'd suggest trying to re-install the extension.

Hi,

Send a screenshot of your layout. We have no other reports of this issue at this time. I also am not able to reproduce.

Which OS are you running, Outlook version? Are you proxied?

Hi,

Close Outlook, go to here and remove all from it to clear cache. %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Todoist\Outlook\Cache

Hi,

That would be the directory you would go in Windows Explorer, your file manager for Windows. UserProfile being your user account.

Chris,

That software is needed, and is installed with Todoist if its not available. We have no other reports of this issue. I have a strong feeling its another software or virus on your system. If you can disable all anti-virus/spyware apps, disable all extensions, to see if it works again.

There is no reason our software would open Twitter.

Brendon.. im still struggling with this.. i noticed it does work fine on my gmail.. but not on windows, outlook.. It has even brought up popups fromt todoist links on the web.. from whenever i´ve done a search..

I have uninstalled and installed over and over again.. and the only one working fine is the one on gmail.. but this is really a problem from me since i subscribed specially to use with outlook from work..

I notice this computer has AVIRA FREE ANTIVIRUS installed..

would you recommend i uninstall it?

do you have any other ideas please to help me fix this?

Hi,

I would disable it, not un-install to see if its causing the issue.

Brendan!! I just noticed the problem with the windows todoist app got fixed when i changed its compatibility to windows vista instead of the one it was using... no more pop ups on the desktop app..

would this give you any clue on how i can fix the one for outlook???

Hello Chris,

Please confirm - did you try to disable the anti-virus software to see if it helps. Based on past reports, it's common that an anti-virus would want to block our plugin, given that it connects to the internet from within Outlook which may seem like what usually malware would do, though in our case there's a reason why it connects - to show your tasks ;)

Chris,

Try to go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Todoist\Outlook, delete the "Cache" folder here and then reload Outlook.

Ok!! PROBLEM SOLVED.. WENT TO PROPERTIES AND CHANGED THIS ONE'S COMPATIBILITY TO WINDOWS VISTA SERVICE PACK 1 .. jajaj something like that.. dont even know why it worked.. just happy it finally did..
I have no doubt it was a problem with the computer I use here at work since anywhere else and on the web its always worked perfectly fine..

Thank you Brendan and David very much for all the patience and keeping up with my problem..

Best regards!

Chris
