Title of Task Changed

SC

Sometime today, my titles to tasks based on email creations are being put in parenthesis and the first part of the title is now the address for the actual email.

Instead of seeing: "Did I Hear Back from Bob?" I see: https://mail.google.com/mail...(Did I Hear Back from Bob?).

Is this a glitch or did you guys make a new permanent change?

Hello Scott,

This is exactly how it worked a long time ago before we've changed it so that you won't see the URL. I can't reproduce this right now and make Todoist display the URL as you describe.

That said, please tell me - on what platforms and in what browsers are you using Todoist and in which of these do you see it? Also, does clearing the cache make any difference?

Regards,
David

Yeah, I remember that. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit and running ToDoist via Gmail in Chrome.

If I do not attach a label, it works as it has been. If I attach a label, I get the hyperlink issue. See if you can reproduce that.

Scott,

Please go to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, find and remove all todoist.com entries on this list, reload Chrome and let me know if the issue persists.

David

Removed all three entries, reloaded, still happening when I apply a label (any label).

Scott,

Thank you for this information - now, as I add a label, I can reproduce this issue. I've passed it to our developers, we'll look into it.

For now, as a workaround, please note that it seems to happen only if you add the label at the end of the task's name so if you put it at the front - this won't happen.

David

Putting label at beginning did not create the hyperlink (as you said) but it's also not creating the label. I used "@qmb" and instead of the green label QMB it just shows "@qmb Test..." with no label attached.

Thanks for checking this David - always appreciate your help.

Scott,

Sorry, you're right - it indeed won't make the label a label just add it as text to the clickable link. Either way, I've reported it to our developers so we'll look into it :-)

David
