Todoist Add-In Crashes My Outlook EVERY DAY

JA

I am a big fan of Todoist, and I am especially fond it of its integration with Outlook.

The really sad thing is that the Todoist add-in for Outlook is causing my Outlook to crash EVERY DAY, multiple times a day.

Any ideas on what the cause might be?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Jermaine,

We're sorry to hear that. We are working on a few updates for it and also had some reports about a few issues it has, but so far we weren't aware of any issues that would cause it to crash.

Please tell me, are you using any other add-ins except for ours? If so, try to disable them and see if it helps. Also - what version of Outlook are you using and what does the error messages say (assuming it shows some error logs)?

Regards,
David

I am using a corporate add-in that is used to manage archived trades (it's called Enterprise Vault).

I am running Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6423.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6529.5000).

I am running Todoist plugin for Outlook Version 2.6.5.0. Is that the latest version?

I will add the error message I get when it happens again - which, unfortunately, will be sometime in the next few hours.

The error message I get shows up in a window called "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library", and has the text:

Runtime Error!

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Is there somewhere I can find a log file that would be useful for you?

Jermaine,

Yes, please go to:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Todoist\Outlook

and send us the files you'll find there - you can ZIP them and attach the file here. I'll pass it to our developers.

David

Thanks, David.

Here is a ZIP of the log files that I found at that location.
