confusing priority colors in "done task" checkbox

JM

I have been using todoist and I love it. But there is one thing that bothers me:

Whenever I want to change the priority of a task, I accidentally mark it as done instead of changing its priority. I guess it is an automatic response from the users to try to change the color by clicking on the color. So my suggestion would be to show the priority somewhere else outside the done checkbox.
Attached one small suggestion.

For what it's worth, I've done this before as well, although I've (mostly) trained myself out of that behavior.

I actually have to change priorities on a task fairly often, since I will take an initial cut at priority when I enter it, but then each day I look at my agenda and adjust priorities relative to the task list for the day.

Great observation JP. I've done the same.

I also would like to use priorities as Trish mentions, but found that the lack of ability to bulk change priorities got in the way. I'd love to see the ability to select more than one task at a time and change it's priority.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Although it's not a solution to this issue, please note that you can change each task's priority with just 2 mouse clicks - right-click on the task, then left click on the priority. You don't have to open/edit the task to do that and don't have to aim at the 3-dot icon as it contains the same options as the right-click menu.

Best regards,
David

Yup, that's how I do it (if I don't forget and try to do it on the colored box!). It's not hard to change priority on individual tasks. It would be nice to bulk edit priority same as we can bulk move tasks, though.
