Push Notifications Broken

DS

Going on three weeks now I've stopped receiving push notifications for all my recurring tasks. Since I signed up in May I have never missed a single notification for any tasks until this started happening. I believe it started the first beta that location reminders were added (I have since left the beta test to no avail). I have deleted reminders and readded them for all tasks, deleted and readded EVERY tasks multiple times, nothing seems to work.

Two days ago I went online, deleted all my devices, deleted ALL my tasks, readded them all and added only my current phone as a device. The next day I got reminders for every recurring tasks no problem. I wake up today though and 4 tasks have passed without a single push notification. I have no idea what to do now, and without push notifications this app is basically useless to me (what is the point of a to do application that doesnt notifiy you of your tasks....exactly, no point).

I am more than willing to help with getting this resolved, but I have had to enlist Wunderlist in the meantime to make sure any important tasks aren't missed or overlooked. Considering how wonderful this program worked the first 2 months its been a huge letdown that it's been basically broken for going on 3+ weeks now.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you.

I forgot, this started happening on a Moto X and has carried over to my new LG G3, which makes me think it isn't device related. Just thought I would add that last part in, as I'm sure the devices I'm using might be helpful.

Hello Derek,

We're very sorry to hear that :-( Please tell me, given that after your recent test only some of the tasks didn't got a notification, could you please post the exact due dates and times of the tasks that failed to deliver a notification?

Also, did you perform any actions on these tasks such as rescheduling, changing their dates, or are you using any battery saving apps on your phone?

Best regards,
David

The recurring tasks got notifiications the very first time they came up. After marking them complete and them rescheduling themselves to the next day, they no longer received push notifications from that point on. It's like the push notification doesn't reschedule along with the actual task, although everything is still set up under the reminder section, and I used the "Before Task" reminders, set to go off between 30-0 minutes before the actual task.

I use no battery saving applications, and when this started happening I had changed absoutely nothing about installed apps, there was no OS OTA for Android, none of my tasks were changed or the reminders that go along with them. One day I just stopped getting push notifications for all of my recurring tasks after 2 months with ZERO issues. If I can try to pinpoint it I believe it happened after the beta update that included location reminders/revamp to the reminder system.

I never changed or rescheduled the tasks (besides marking them done and them moving to the next day, which like I said wroekd without issue for the first two months).

Due Dates for my recurring tasks range from everyday, every weekday, every specific day a week, every specific day a month, etc. These were all tasks that worked without issue with push notifications for 2 months though, so something had to have had happened in one of those beta updates, because everything really did work perfectly before then, which is why it is such a headscratcher. Even more so because I changed nothing relating to the tasks or reminders, or anything on my phone that would affect receiving push notifications,

Odd thing is I still receive my 9AM notification containing a list of all due tasks for the remainder of the day. Unfortunately though I receive no push notifications for the individual tasks, which is all I really care about, heh.

Thanks for the quick response.

Derek,

Please tell me - if you set up a new task with a specific recurring due time, such as "every day at 16:00", it receives an automatic "30 minutes before" reminder which will arrive, according to your description, please complete this task after the time it's supposed to be due and then go to the reminders menu and let me know if you can still see a "30 minutes before" reminder there or not.

This way we can confirm whether the issue is that the reminder is there, but doesn't go off or that the reminder is being automatically removed from the task upon its first completion.

Best regards,
David

Yes, the reminders are all still there under the tasks, but the push notifications for those reminders just stop after the first time the task is completed. Every single one of my tasks has at least one, sometimes more than one, reminders. This is why I think there is an issue, because the reminders are still there, but they just stop working for some inexplicable reason once the recurring tasks has been completed once and rescheduled for the next date/time it is set to be due. Not to mention there was never an issue with reminders/push notifications until about 3 weeks go.

Derek,

Thank you for the confirmation, I'll pass it to our developers and we'll look into it.
