Please add time keeping functionality

D

I would love to see a box where I can input how much time a task takes me to complete and then to be able to report on all tasks in a project for how much time they have taken.

You can integrate todoist with toggl which does this timing and reporting for you. There is a bit of double set up work, but the combination is working well for us.

Definitely agree. Time keeping option with this would be great. Of course, you'll need to be able to export the time entries with the appropriate information.

@Dana, how did you get the two (ToDoist and Toggl) to work together?

Yeah this would be really helpful especially at University.

Use the Toggl Button found here:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/toggl-button/oejgccbfbmkkpaidnkphaiaecficdnfn

Then when you are logged into Toggl (free accounts for under 5 users) in Chrome a start/stop link will appear next to each item in todoist when you hover near it. Click the link to start and stop the timer for each item as you work your way through the list. At the end of the day, go to Toggl and set each timed slot to the correct project if you are using Toggl to invoice different clients or similar and need to sort your hours accordingly.

Enjoy!
