Due Date as Reminders

Isn't the Due Date should work as Reminders?

It doesn't matter which time you set, the Reminders doesn't shows any of them & its blank always.

Why the need to Set up Reminder again apart from Due Date & time ?

Hi Kamran,

No it is not needed to do so. If you enter "today at 2pm" into the date box, a reminder will be set for 30 minutes before that time.

Now we are looking into your issue with SMS, and we are waiting for a response from the provider. Are you saying you have tested this with PUSH or Email reminders and still does not work?

For Each Task, there's 3 Tab - Task Editing, Notes / Comments & Reminder Tab

Hi Kamran,

I see. You're referring to the view in Android, correct? I just tested and it automatically set the 30 mins. before time default reminder. Can you make sure you're using the latest version of the app? Also, what due date did you enter? For me, I used "tom @ 10pm" and it was able to detect it.

Yes, I am using the latest version on Android.
Reminder works well (If Default sets to Email) else am Not getting any Push or SMS Reminder (Case already opened in support).

But Point is the DUE DATE which we set doesn't reflect in the Reminder tab.

I will leave the first issue to the other topic.

As for the due date does not reflect reminder tab. So to confirm, you enter "today at 2pm" into the date box, the reminders area shows none at all.

Does this only occur on the android version, and you are using it in English?

Well, I don't manually enter Due dates like "today at 2pm" (coz i haven't learned them yet.
So I do enter via selecting Proper Dates & timing.
Yes its for the Android version again.
Haven't checked them on other Platforms (am just using Chrome Extension apart from Android).

Kamran,

A few of your issues seem to be related to your Android device. Let's go over this again.

Which device are you runing?
Which Android version?
Which Todoist version?

I know you have said you tried a few different versions. That being said, it could be an odd issue with the account. Have you tried logging into and setting up a new account (I can add premium time to allow reminders) and see if the issues continue?

Android 4.4.2 // Omega ROM v22 (previously it was v21, I did a complete clean installation)
Todoist v5.2.5

I'd like to try to bring all your topics together. They seem like they could be related, mostly.

Have you always been on a custom ROM? Have you ever been on stock android? I am afraid that could be causing issues that we aren't able to fix.

Well the day, I started using Todoist..
am always on Custom ROM.

Initially that use to work fine..

Push Notifications used to work fine as I tried with it with a Business account too.

It may be possible that a new version of that custom ROM has caused the issue. Sadly, we have tried everything to reproduce your issues, all other reports seem to have been resolved in the latest updates of our app.

Kamran,

Yes, but how many times have you ran a new version of that ROM? I know from experience they can have many updates.

That being said, still, the fact that we have no other reports, and that you are having many issues with our app, and many related. I think it may be worth trying a stock ROM. Though I know its a hassle to do this, maybe if you had another device?

Without being able to reproduce, and no way to test that specific ROM, it becomes quite hard to find the cause.
