recurring tasks

J

I have many tasks which need to be done at least every week, but it doesn't have to be done on any specific day.

I need to set the task to recur x (say 7) days after it was last completed. It's possible in Outlook - I need my "To Do" programme to have this feature too.

Please advise how to do this in Todoist.

Hi Julia,

Unfortunately, that's is currently not possible. We'll consider implementing such a feature in the future.

For you situation I guess you can say for example, "after 7 days at 2pm starting today"

Repeat after X months

In Todoist there are two recurring dates: every and after. They are similar and the difference is how the next date is computed.

An example, let's say we have following tasks:

Clean fridge with due date every 3 months starting 10 April
Clean fridge with due date after 3 months starting 10 April
Completing every 3 months starting 10 April will result in a due date 3 months from 10. April.
Completing after 3 months starting 10 April will result in a due date 3 months from the completion date.

Thanks for your reply, which is allowing me to use Todoist for all of my
reminders.

I was puzzled that the initial reply said the feature wasn't available -
thankfully your helpful reply arrived at the same time.

Julia
