SMS Reminders not Any Other Remider Works

Hi

I recently upgraded to Premium. The only reason for the upgrade was the reminders. But that doesnt seem to work at all for me.

I have created SMS and Push Notification and Email notifications but none seems to work.

When I Test the reminders using the Settings section...

1. Push

This works. But not in the normal course of the day

2. SMS :

This initially worked and I received an sms from +18559711090 saying "todoist reminders work!".

But when I tried it today it gives me an error saying "Error encountered: 21408: Permission to send sms has not been enabled for the region indicated by the To number."

Can you please have a look.

This is not working in any of the platforms :(

Hi Asiri,

Do you notice any patterns on which reminder/tasks the push notification doesn't work? As for the SMS problem, I'll report to our developer so we can enabled this ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi

Thanks for the quick response. The SMS reminders are still not working. Its asking me to enter a country code. But I already have a country code in my mobile no.

I can confirm I received an Email Reminder.

But I dont get any reminder for Mobile Push Notifications. There is no pattern as such but simply I dont get for any instances.

Bit frustrating I was having high hopes on your product!

Asiri,

It may be a syntax issue, that happens to be wrong when using PUSH. Can you give me an example of a failed PUSH reminder? "today at 2pm" for example.

I assume in the Reminders area you do see your device listed?

Hi Brendon

I have my device listed. I renamed my device from GT-9505 to a more user friendly name. I hope that is fine?

Also I was using the following syntax in adding reminders. "today @ 2 pm". is that incorrect? When I used "today at 2 pm" for the first time I got a PUSH reminder.

What could be the reason for the SMS reminders? Its very important for me that SMS reminders work.

Hi,

So are you saying they now work, or just the one test you did worked? I do not think renaming could be a cause, but to resolve that I'd remove the listing, and then re-install the app to make sure.

We are aware of some issues with SMS, and are looking into it. Your issue may be related to a region setting which we are going to fix.

Hi, guys

The same thing happened to me today. I bought the "Premium" package just because of the SMS / PUSH notifications but they are not working at all, at least for me. I do have an Android devide (Samsung Galaxy SIII) and I'm gettin highly frustrated since I have not found the way to make the application send me SMS / PUSH notifications for my pending tasks.

For instance, I created one for today @ 8:00 pm and it was supposed to be sending me a notificacion 30 minutes before, but it didn't happen. :-/

Can you confirm if it still happens if you create one now, I believe your test you refer to may have been before David mentioned the changes.

Hi

Here is the current status. I can confirm that SMS notifications still doesnt work!

I have attached an image of the reminders I have set.

1. SMS

Now I can send a test SMS. It is working as expected and I receive the notification.
BUT, I dont get reminders when I set it up against a task.

2. PUSH

This is finally working. Thank You.

3. EMAIL

This is also working. But it gets about 10 min MAX delayed.

Thank you for your support so far. Please be kind enough to fix the rest of the issues as well.

Hi

I have noticed one more thing.

When I set the reminder to SMS, sometimes it automatically sets the reminder type to default.

Not sure if this has anything to do...

Last night I ran some tests and I did receive notifications correctly but apparently only when setting the taks from the mobile application. Here is what I'm going to do today (because I really want to have this up and running smoothly):

I am going to set up an activity using the Chrome extension (which would usually be the way I set them up) due 9:00 am this morning, and will set 3 notifications:

1 hour prior to the event, with notification by email
45 minutes prior to the event, with notification by PUSH message
30 minutes prior to the event, with notification by SMS

And will let you know how it goes.

So far, I had a task due @ 7:00 am this morning, and didn't receive the notification.

Hi, Brendon

You might want to know the following notifications have been properly received:

By email at 8:00 am
By PUSH message at 8:15 am

Will let you know if the SMS comes in as scheduled at 8:30 am

Then I will set another task directly from the web application and later from the mobile app to see if all of them work correctly.

But SMS definitely not working. I have set several reminders and both email and push are working good but when it comes to SMS notifications, simply non existent.

Any suggestions? :-S

Hope you are doing fine. Have you guys reached any solution? I did try again today to set up an SMS notification but they don't work. However, it's funny though because you can actually send the "SMS TEST MESSAGE" but cannot schedule the SMS notifications. ;-)

I too am experiencing the same situation. The very reason for my upgrade was reminders.

I still can send and receive the test sms successfully. But the scheduling part is not working :-)

Although I do appreciate a lot having a 1 Month Bonus on my Premium suscription (¡thanks a lot!), it's really about the SMS notifications feature working on the application what I'm truly interested on.

Please advise when you guys have fixed it. How come it's so difficult when you can easily receive the "Test SMS"... Things of the coding people would say ;-D :-D

Just to let you know today, like around 3:00 pm local time SMS started working. Since I couldn't believe it at the very beginning, I did set up a couple of SMS reminder just to make sure it was not a casual thing and it didn't.
