Bug in scheduling on iPhone app

R

Hi

I have noticed for the last ?couple of weeks? that scheduling doesn't seem to work properly when I add tasks on the iPhone (version 8.4.1). I usually add them from the Today view just because that's the one I'm in, but choose the correct due date from the 'Add Task' screen that pops up. However, no matter what date I select, the due date is saved as Today - until I go in and re-edit it. This is really annoying.

Today I tried adding a task from within the relevant project rather than the Today view (in case that made a difference). Although I chose the due date as tomorrow, it saved as no due date.

Hi Rebecca,

Before moving forward, please sign out of the app and back in again. If this does not change the issue, a reinstall could help. There were major changes after the recent update, so this steps could be of use.

Brendon.

Thanks Brendon. I signed out but then couldn't log back in (app got stuck at the processing symbol) so I deleted the app and reinstalled it.

Still having the same issue I'm afraid.

I tested it again with a whole lot of new tasks. It seems that the due date doesn't register properly whenever I add a label. If I don't add a label it works fine; if I add a reminder or priority (with no label) it is also fine. If I add a task from the 'Today' or 'Next 7 days' view, the due date always defaults back to today when it saves (regardless of whether I use the date wheel or type in a date). If I add it from the Projects view, it always saves with no date.

Given I add contextual labels to ALL my tasks, this is causing problems!

Hi Rebecca,

Can you please give me the step by step instructions on how to replicate the problem? I tried reproducing it but I don't get the same problem.

Regards,

Clyde

For example:

In today view tap on "+" to add a task.
Type in "Finish report"
Select project.
Under optional fields, tap on the calendar icon, and select 26 July.
Scroll down, tap in the label field, and select a label.
Tap "done".
Task appears under "Today"

Rebecca,

I will pass this along and hopefully we can find the cause.

Brendon.
