Issue Emailing Tasks from the IOS CloudMagic email client

Hi on emailing tasks from my GMail account via the CloudMagic iPad app an empty task is created i.e. that the subject line of the email populates the task title correctly, but the body of the email is not passed on to the task note.

Interestingly if I email the exact same task from the GMail app it works perfectly. (I am using the very latest version of all the apps involved)

Hi Peter,

Do you know how a mail from CloudMagic looks, in terms of formatting? We recently changed our email system to allow pretty much all content (not HTML) because it was stripping certain parts.

And if you have the email address added to the accepted list from CloudMagic, which has to be done otherwise no mail would come, it is very odd that only the title is showing up.

Regards,
Brenodn.

Hi Brandon the email is via GMail not CloudMagic, which is only a client,  so I only have to to register my Gmail account with Todoist.
This problem has only just recently happened

Hello Peter,

Could you please send an email to yourself, to a different address and then save it as a file and attach it here, our developers would take a look at the exact properties of this message - headers, formatting etc.

Best regards,
David

Hi,

We would need an EML file. The only way to do this in Gmail is as follows.

1. Click on the arrow on the right hand side of the email, Show Original
2. Copy & Paste all of that into a notepad or text editor.
3. Save as .eml

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon
Attached are two emails. Both sent from my iPad using my GMail account. One
sent using the IOS CloudMagic client and the other sent using the IOS GMail
client. Hope this solves it.
Best
