Hello Richard,

Yes, you can write a script that will check the task's due date and then notify you about it at a certain time. You can use our API only to get the data, and then any other method of handling reminders.

Best regards,
David

And what about updates? Is it possible?

Richard,

Please clarify what you mean by that. Technically, you can use our SyncAPI: https://todoist.com/API/help/sync to get the data anytime and what you do with it then is completely up to you, you can make and app that will get it every 5 seconds, update it every 5 seconds etc. :-)

Best regards,
David

You understand the question! But I wouldn’t to make a timer to get it every X seconds. I would like to get it always there is an update available. Is it possible?

Richard,

Thanks for clarifying. I will have to ask our developers about this as I'm not 100% sure. On our end we always use Comet to push changes across all platforms, but I'm not sure if this also applies to our API.

I will let you know when I hear back from them.

Best regards,
David

Richard,

According to our developer, it will update. That is, any change you make on any platform will push an update through the API to any other platform automatically.

Best regards,
David
