Hi Glenn,

If you open up Todoist, in the top right corner there is a gear icon, then Todoist Settings. At the bottom of that new pop-up is a URL, this is the iCal feed URL. Copy and paste this into iCal.

Now its actually easier to add a feed to the iCal on IOS through the iCal app on OSX, if you have that option, all you do is go to File, Add New Subscription. As for on the iOS device, head to settings, and Mail, Calendars.... etc from there you can enter this URL.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi, I would like the opposite to happen: to bring my ical items into todoist, is that possible?
Thank you!

Hello Auna,

That's unfortunately not possible, at least not directly, but you could use Zapier which should allow you to have a task created in Todoist each time you add one to your calendar: https://todoist.com/blog/2014/03/todoist-is-now-on-zapier-connecting-tasks-to-over-280-apps/

On my desktop iCal app, under File>New Calendar Subscription, I tried entering the copied Todoist URL into the "subscribe" field, but I get the error message "A calendar wasn't found on [the address]. Check the URL." Any ideas?

I'm running Yosemite.

Thank you!

Hello Auna,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to import events from a calendar into Todoist, only the other way around. That is, you can see tasks from Todoist in a calendar by using the iCal feed from Settings -> General as show on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE

I have a problem with the iOS calendar feed. It seems to be out of sync with the calendar on my Mac. I have tried refreshing the calendars on my iPhone, but that doesn't seem to fix it. Other calendars are syncing OK.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Aboodi,

You added our iCal feed to the Mac Calendar and have iCloud turned on to sync with your iPhone calendar? This appears to be an issue with iCloud and not Todoist, at least we have seen no otherway to reproduce this problem.

Brendon

Thanks, Brendon,

Yes, to both your questions.

At first, everything worked fine, but now none of the changes I make in Todoist (tasks completed or moved) are showing up in iOS. Other calendars are syncing fine, so I am not sure why only the Todoist calendar changes aren't syncing across.

Hi Aboodi,

Can you try removing the Todoist ical subscription that you have now and try re-adding it again? Does that help?
