Outlook not syncing with Todoist

Starting today, my Outlook 2010 Todoist is no longer working. I keep getting a JavaScript Alert telling me that " Could not sync with Todoist. Please try again later."

This has been happening all day. I have uninstalled the Outlook plugin, restarted Outlook, restarted my laptop, and logged in and out of the website, but nothing has worked.

Any thoughts?

Hi Sean,

This is an issue we are looking into, but we have yet found the cause. Do you know if anything changed, system settings, Outlook settings, new apps, Network changes etc?

Nothing that I'm aware of, and Corporate IT has not sent out any updates that they've changed anything.

Now I'm having issues with the app too. Opened it up, and no text was visible on any of my To Do items - but all the formatting was still in place. Went to take a screen capture with Snagit, and all the text popped into place. Except that everything was ancient history!! Then the app crashed and will no longer load. See screen cap of non-existing text.

So this happens all within Outlook 2010? Which version of Windows are you running? Do you have these issues in the web version?

Windows 7 Pro v7601 Service Pack 1.

No problems with the Web version. The issue is neither the Outlook plugin or the App can sync. I can't force a sync either.

So you do not see any sync/refresh button at the bottom right within either app? If you head to the system tray and right click on TD (for the app) does the Home, Sync buttons do anything?

Also, the Todist.exe processes aren't stopping after the app is closed. They continue to run in the background - is that normal?

That screenshot is odd, are you somehow in a fullscreen mode? Outlook plugin should just be a window within Outlook, and the Windows App should be windowed.

That screenshot is from the windows app, not the Outlook plugin. It is windowed, Snagit just auto-captured everything within the window.

I've removed the Outlook plugin as I got tired of the annoying dialog box popping up every minute telling me that " Could not sync with Todoist. Please try again later."

Hi there!

I'm not being able to sync Outlook 2010 with TD as well.

In Outlook calendar when I right click the meeting and ask to add to Todoist nothing happens.

Ricardo,

We do not support adding from the calendar, only from an email. That would be the reason why that does nothing.

Any update on this problem? Neither my Outlook plugin or the App are syncing and updating - that's IF the App will even open. At this point Todoist is pretty much not usable for me as a daily task tracker.

Again, very sorry but there has been no updates as of yet. There has been background updates that we believe could help. I'd suggest logging out and back in again.

App still won't open, and will try installing the Outlook plugin today and see if it works.
