Reminder opens project but not task

CD

When a Todoist reminder shows up on my iPhone (via push notification), I'm given the option of selecting "OK" or "Open Project." Choosing "Open Project" brings me to the top of the list of tasks of the project the task is in. I must then scroll down until I find that particular task.

I have another task management app that also sends reminders, but this one opens up the app to the actual task, and not simply the project the task is in. This is much more helpful to me.

Would the Todoist team consider re-designing the remind feature so that, when a reminder is sent via push, that the option to "Open Task" instead of "Open Project" be presented, or that at the very least, the project open to the actual spot where the task is located in that project list?

Hi Cliff,

It's a good idea and we will consider this in future updates. I think the difference is how we open tasks. We don't open tasks, the only way to open a task is to get it into edit mode, so we dont want to send you to there, but instead send you to where you can view the task.

Brendon.

Thanks for the quick response, Brendon. Even if the task itself can't be opened, being sent to its location within the project would certainly be helpful.

Cliff,

You are right, it could be changed to scroll to that specific task, though I am not sure how easy this is. I will pass it along, as it could be a bug actually.

Brendon.
