Not able to connect with Google - App does not load my tasks

J

Hi,

I had installed the Android app to my former HTC and (Android 4.2.2) and it worked fine. Now I have changed my phone to a Landvo, also 4.2.2, and it does not work.

I am able to install the app to my phone, but when connecting, I am neither able to connect by my Google account, which is how I usually connect, nor connecting directly with a new, imaginary account.

When I connect with Google, it says "Hi Julia" and then is off loading tasks, never ending.

I really need to work it out since I am a sales person and I need my todos at hand. I have a premium account.

Thanks for your reply!

Hello Julia,

According to our database, your account exists and is Premium so technically, or our end, there should be no issued with the login, but please tell me - did you originally create this account by using "Sign-up with Google" and always logged in using "Login with Google"? Did you link your Google account to your new phone?

Also, please try to log in on the web through a desktop computer, then go to Settings -> Accounts, use "Edit" next to "Password", type in a password for Todoist and then try to log in manually, not via Google, through Android.

Best regards,
David

Thank you David.

Well, my account is vinculated with Google, I have done as you told me and created a password at a PC and have tried to log in without Google - without success. It simply stays "actualizing" without loading any data.

My Android phone is connected with my google account, same account I am using usually for my Todoist-Account. I have checked internet access, security, app settings and just simply cannot find what it is due to. As stated before, when trying to connect with my google account, the app says "Hello Julia" - so somehow something of my data is loaded - and then it does not load anything.

Any idea? I have reinstalled several times, no result.

Julia,

Are you using any custom Android ROMs? Is your phone rooted? Are you using any task killer apps?

You've said that "I am neither able to connect by my Google account, which is how I usually connect, nor connecting directly with a new, imaginary account." so you've created a new Todoist account with a different email address and you can't log into this new account either?

Best regards,
David

Hello,

nothing. Neither ROM nor flashing, no task killer apps. Nothing. I received
it yesterday with a preinstalled Android 4.2.2 system and downloaded my
tools from the Playstore, among them Todoist. I have installed,
deinstalled, tried to register directly by the app with a new account
(please check if you have an account by reprogermany@repro.es) and it stays
thinking.

BUT... meanwhile the app stays thinking, I have seen the settings in the
app and my e-mail account and name are right. So... I don't have a clue. :-)

I have Wifi and the phone works fine, all apps work, just this one doesn't.
It

I

Hi,

We can not seem to reproduce this issue. It would appear something specific about that phone is causing it but we have tried all normal suggestions.

I'd suggest another un-install, reboot, and re-install to make sure, but I think it may be another app or setting that is some how causing this.

Regards,
Brendon.
