last version crashes

Hi,

I've installed the last version on both my iPad and iPhone.

I've noticed a lot of bugs.

-When i pull to sync, it takes ages to do it and sometimes it crashes
-A lot of times, it freezes and there's nothing you can do, you can't press anywhere
-When i use the function "tomorrow" or "next week", the task still appears in today view. I checked on my desktop app and the date has been changed. So it works but it doesn't move the task instantly like it used to do.

Hello Cyril,

I can't reproduce this. It seems to sync faster than any earlier version and hasn't frozen or crashed for us yet.

Moving a task using "Schedule" also moves it super-fast to the today list pretty much instantly thanks to all the performance updates.

That said, unfortunately, I can't confirm any of these issues so far. Could you please delete and reinstall the app and see if it helps (to make sure it's now an issue with the update process itself)?

Hello David,
I'm having the same issues. The iOS version is crashing every few minutes.
What happens:
Rescheduling an item often freezes the app
Rescheduling happens, but the item stays in the today view displaying for example "tomorrow" as a due date.
App freezes seemingly on random

Seems to happen more often on the iPad.
Version is 8.4, iOS version 7.1.2.
Reinstalling didn't help at all.

The app crashes really very often and is nearly unusable.
What I don't understand: why doesn't todoist has logs or crash detection?
And what if you are not able to recreate the error - than I'm stuck with my unusable app?

Any news on this? I tried updating to 8.4.1, and it certainly isn't fixed there.

The iOS app continues to be unusable to me. It's been three days.

Hi Silvia,

It is possible that we're running into a different issue that we've already fixed in version 8.4.1. I have reported this back to our developers and hopefully will have a fix soon.
Can you also tell us which iPad your using?

Hey everyone, i'm experiencing the same issues as the other users, the app is brutal. I'm constantly closing and reopening it, really sucks. Lose a lot of work as it keeps crashing/freezing mid edit/reschedule. Seems random, it'll freeze just while scrolling through tasks.

Mine is on a iphone 5, everything up to date.

It distinctly shows 51 tasks due today, but the area besides it where the tasks should be is totally empty.

Hello Clyde!

There seems to be a pattern to the crashes:
* I reschedule a few tasks to tomorrow in the today view
* The task is rescheduled to tomorrow, displays tomorrow as the due date, but is still visible in the today view
* From now on, things are going downhill fast - you can still reschedule tasks but they will all remain in the today view
* If you try to change to the 7day view, it displays all tasks with invisible task names
* If you try to change the view again, the tasks are completely invisible like in the screenshot, and the app remains dead.

This is really starting to get annoying. I've been mainly using the iPad app - especially on the weekends - and it's not really usable.

If it's not resolved soon, it will be time for me to look for alternatives. I'd like to avoid that.

I have a similar issue on my ipad mini. The app opens and immediately crashes and shuts off. Only started doing this foday.

The iOS application is seriously bugged. I've deleted and resync to no effect.

Sometimes:

- Lots of Empty (No text) and out of order tasks
- Not all tasks showing
- Freezes and totally stops responding

It's been two weeks now.

Using Todoist has not made my life any easier in the last two weeks, and a todo list app is supposed to make my life easier. It's not some game I can wait a few weeks on to get fixed.

I'm evaluating other apps by now. I suggest you get a new development team.

The problems are severe enough for you to just pull the last version out and replace it with the previous.

Something broke hard since the last one, that's for sure.

Mine is stability issues in general, it constantly freezes, crashes, wont
display my tasks properly ie at all, or ill go into a project and it'll be
displaying another projects tasks.. I reinstall and it'll work fine for a
minute or a few hours beforw needing to do it again. All of this happened
with the new update. With this many people mentioning the problem on the
forum, theres probably a lot more having the issues going unreported.

The bug went away after I made my weekly review and moved things around;

Some things that might be;

Layout/Icons issues emerging from the use of reminders:

- using both reminder AND a due date set
- reminders and recurring due dates
- Subprojects with more than 2 levels

I'm having these problems too - seems to crash very frequently now, in my case usually when it's updating/syncing. Driving me nuts as it renders the app almost unusable. Ironically it keeps asking me to rate the app - at the moment I am waiting to see if this is resolved before rating but am on point of giving up waiting. Feel fix.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, we have a new build now and are still testing it to make sure everything works so it shouldn't take too long before we can submit it for Apple's approval.
