Syncing Problems

L

Hi,

I cannot get Todoist to sync. The web version is always up-to-date, but my desktop version (Windows) and my iPhone version are always wrong. What's more, they're not even consistent with each other in their 'wrongness'.

This is making it impossible for me to use the app, especially on the go. I'm beginning to wonder what exactly I'm getting with my premium subscription.

I agree. For the last 2 weeks recurring tasks were not syncing with Google calendar.
As of July 3rd, none of the tasks are syncing with the Google calendar.
This is ridiculous.
What is the problem.
I am beginning to think I should look for a different Task app

Hello,

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Lea - please reinstall the iOS app and as for the Windows app - log out from it, then go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Todoist\Windows and delete the "Cache" folder.

lwassermd - this seems like a different issue, please clarify - you have not unsubscribed from the iCal feed, have tasks with some standard due dates and as of yesterday, they have all disappeared? Or did they just not update (which can take Google up to 24h)?

Best regards,
David

Hello Jakub,

Please clarify what devices are you using Todoist on, what systems, what browser and between which is the data not synced correctly. Also, are you referring to incorrect states of existing tasks or missing data that hasn't been synced?

Best regards,
David

I can't get CalDav to work on anything, including Mac 10.9 Calendar and Google Calendar :-S

OK, suddenly working after putting in yet another URL from the CalDav URL generator in settings.

Also, worked immediately after stopping and restarting Mac Chrome browser. That did not work before, but now, as promised, it does.

Simply no idea what changed, but I'm grateful. :-)

Hi Jakub,

In the web, how often does it get out of sync? If you logging out and back in solves it, how long do you wait before you get the sync issue back? The unsynced tasks, were they created from the iOS app or somewhere else?

As for the iOS app, can you try re-installing the app again and observe if you still get the sync issues.

Regards,

Clyde

Hi Larry,

You can unsubscribe to this thread but that would unsubscribe you to all future threads/reports as well. Unfortunately, there's no way to unsubscribe to individual threads yet but we'll look into making it possible in the future.

Well, I've done everything as instructed, and we're out of sync again between desktop and web. Remind me again what I'm paying for??

Hi,

We are looking into these issues and are very sorry about that. Are any of you using Chrome or Fireofx, and have removed a date from a task?

Brendon.

Jakub,

I was asking if anyone has removed a date from a task, and noticed that this was the cause of the issues. Not to actually remove a due date. Though this leads me to believe that its not the cause of your issue?

Regards,
Brendon.

I'm seeing the same sync issues, it does seem to occur when I remove the Due Date from a task.

This problem still occurs when the due date is removed. Is this bug being worked on?

Dan,

Yes we are looking into things, we are releasing a huge iOS update that should address most of these issues.
