Login every time

I have installed the todoist app in outlook (running on Terminal server) and is working fine. Once I have logged on in terminal server and open Outlook I have to give in the login for todoist (right pane). After that I can open en close outlook and todoist does remember my login. But if I logoff my terminal server account and then later login, I will have to give in my credentials voor todoist again. What's going wrong? Can someone tell me where todoist should heep this information, so i don't have to login every time i close my terminal session?

Hello Han,

Please clarify, is the information from the server required to establish a connection? If so, then it may not be possible to prevent this. Todoist relies on being able to maintain an active session, but if logging off a server is "killing" this session, then we can't really prevent that :-(

Please make sure that there isn't a setting on your server to close sessions or clear cookies upon logoff.

Best regards,
David

Terminal sessions will always close if they are unused for more than 2 hours. But also at night the terminal servers are restarted. Cookies aren't cleared.
Isn't it possible for todoist in Outlook to keep logged on, the same way as in internet explorer. Because with internet explorer on the same terminal session we don't have to login again once logged in Todoist in Outlook.

Han,

Technically, we don't use any non-standard method for this at all. In fact, our plugin is based on the Chromium engine and acts as a Chrome window keeping a cookie. That said, please try to install Chrome and see if it can maintain the login.

Though, the problem may be caused by the fact that our plugin is an app inside an app so its cookies are considered third-party (does the server not accept them?).

David
