Confusion at Midnight

I

Hi,

I was checking my "to do" list late last night and observed a "bug" when the date changed (this is UK local time) from Thursday to Friday. I'm not sure if the issue occurred when it became 00:00 or at 00:01 or somewhere in between.

Anyway all the tasks in the view I had - Next 7 Days - jumped back one day and the date headings got messed up i.e. wrong dates and there were two Saturday's - one was "tomorrow" and the other was the next day i.e. "Tomorrow Sat 5 Jul" and "Saturday 6 Jul".

I tried the refresh option a couple of times but that had no effect. I then took a screenshot as evidence. I exited the application and went back in again. After doing this a couple of times everything sorted itself out and the tasks were back against the correct days and the dates were now correct. I took another screenshot. I don't know if this issue would have resolved itself without restarting the application.

I've redacted the screenshots so this can be a public post in case anyone else comes across this problem or can add further information. The filenames reflect the time they were captured. I've highlighted the incorrect details in the first image.

I'm running latest version, v5.1, under Android 4.2.2. on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

Regards,

Ian

Hi,

I happened to be awake at midnight, so watched again!

The issue occurs when clock changes from 23:59 to 00:00, so the problem is in the code that is triggered by the date change.

Have attached a couple more screenshots, this time from before and after midnight. Again the dates get messed up and invalid. Also some regular tasks "lost" the reminder indicator. As before the refresh option failed to correct the issue but exiting and entering the application did resolve it.

Hope the extra information helps!

Regards,

Ian

Ian

This should be fixed now and will be available in the next version of our app. Note - it will always work except between exactly 00:00 and 00:01 - during this one minute there may be some inconsistencies.

Best regards,
David
