New reminder UX does not work / broken

PR

Hi,
I see you've updated the UX for setting reminders on tasks. I am encountering an issue: when a reminder has been set, clicking on the red clock on the bottom right of the task to change it / add reminders / delete the reminder doesn't work (nothing happens).

My browser is chrome. Some help for your tech team: the error message given by the JS Console when I click:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getDay' of undefined
(DateController.humanizeDayDiff)

Please fix this asap
Thanks

Hello Philippe,

We can't reproduce this issue, please try to go to Chrome's Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, find and delete Todoist on this list, reload Chrome and log back in.

If the issue persists, please describe step-by-step on an example what happens exactly. For instance - in a shared project, you have a task with a date "today at 6pm" and an email reminder set to "30 minutes before", you click on the task, then on the highlighted clock icon, and then what happens exactly and at what point?

Best regards,
David

Hi,

I just saw your question. I posted basically the same one here:

http://todoist.com/Support/show/34789/

I'm having the same problem. Reminders just don't work.

This is what I did:

I clicked on the "add a new task" button, typed the name in, typed the date in (every friday starting july 4), and clicked the red clock. This time, the pop-up appeared, so I typed in "every friday @ 14:00" and hit enter. Nothing happened.

Interestingly, if I do this entire sequence and replace "friday" with "thursday", everything works as intended. The bug is only present for select tasks with select dates (Mondays also don't work for me. Wednesdays do.)

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

Hello,

Thank you for this information, now I've been able to reproduce this based on that and have passed it to the developers, we'll look into it now.

Best regards,
David

Brendon,

To address your question, the same thing happens if I do what you asked me to try.

Thanks.

Hi,
Not sure we had exactly the same issue (mine was that for any task with an
already set reminder, anywhere on any project, clicking on the red clock to
edit reminders did nothing), but on my end, resetting cookies and cache and
restarting chrome solved the problem.
Thanks a lot for the prompt response
Best

Philippe,

I also have that issue. But doing what you suggested did not fix it.

I can still edit tasks from my phone, though.

Hi David,

I just tried it and everything works swimmingly. I'm really impressed by how quickly you guys turned this around.

Thank you very much!
