iPad not syncing

Hi,

I've been having syncing issues with mi iPad and TD. While I've got no problems at all with web app or the Android app, iPad seems to not syncing (except manually).

I've uninstalled the app twice, but with no results.

Any help?

Hello,

Please tell me, did you allow the app to send you notifications (we use push notifications for syncing data)? Does the issue persist only if you make changes on the iPad or also if you make changes on the web and they don't sync to the iPad?

Also, are you using a corporate WiFi network which may block certain types of connections?

Hi, Davidm

Yes, I allow the notifications (pop-ups, sounds, etc.). If I make changes on the iPad, the tasks appear to sync OK in all devices (web and Android): when I add a task on the iPad, it syncs (as I'd chosen the "Sync now" option).

I'm using my home wifi network, with no block restrictions at all.

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you please clarify this for me?

>> If I make changes on the iPad, the tasks appear to sync OK in all devices (web and Android)

Do you need to manually sync this or does it sync it automatically? Does it update tasks created from web and android automatically or do you still need to do manually sync?

Regards,

Clyde

Hi, Clyde,

I mean that if I add a task in any other device (web or Android) it does not sync with iPad until I sync manually.

However, if I add a task on iPad it does sync alright, and the task appear in all devices.

So the main problema is that if I use other options, like adding tasks from the web, I must sync manually in order to see them on iPad, since it does not sync automatically.

Thanks a lot,

Emiliano

Emiliano,

Unfortunately, we're unsure what can cause this. We've tried to reproduce this under various circumstances and it always synced automatically to the iOS app. Nonetheless, we'll keep looking into this.

Hi, David,

I just realize that the tasks number (in the TD icon) do sync well. If I create a new task on Android, the "1" appears on the iPad icon, but when I open the app, it's empty (until I manually sync).

Strange? Sure…

We've passed it to our developers now and we'll look into this.

Hi again, David,

I was testing reminders in order to check if they work. I created yesterday a task with a reminder for today at 10.00h. At that exact time the iPad shows the reminder without problema on the notification center, but when I open the app, the task does not exist… unitl I sync manually.

Hope the TD team can fix this, because it's very annoying.

Thanks.

Hi, guys,

Just to tell you that with the last update (8.4.1) everything is OK and the syncing is working.

Thanks for your work.
