I am getting negative karma due to "overdue tasks", but there are no overdue tasks on my to-do list!

I receive negative 3 karma consistently, but I have completed all of my overdue tasks - none show up in my inbox, and I have checked to be sure that it is searching for overdue tasks.

Do tasks that I have assigned to others count against my karma? Is that why they are not showing up on my list, but counting against me? :-S

HI Violet,

If you go to your Today view or 7 Days view, you see no tasks overdue, on top or bottom of the list? I'd suggest logging out and back in to make sure its showing correctly.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hello!

I logged out, logged in, still nothing. So I ran a search for overdue
*only* and saw a list item whose due date was undefined...and that I had
completed. When I tried to tick the box, I received an error message.

Hi,

What is the error message? It showed up as completed but on your list, not within the completed tasks area? Was it a sub-task, is the parent task completed?

Hello!

I cannot tell if it is a sub-task or parent task anymore, but I know that I
completed this particular activity as it went with a group of other
activities that I consciously marked as completed. Now, when I try to tick
the "completed" box, I no longer receive an error message but the tick box
just looks like it is loading, and the command will not complete.

Thanks!

Hi,

Try to get it into edit mode, what is the due date entered? Try to change it and then deleting it, or completing it.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi!

I changed the date, marked it as completed, but am still getting the -3
points and a note saying that I have tasks that are more than 4 days
overdue. When I search for overdue tasks, nothing shows up.

Again, are these tasks assigned to others? I recognize that this point
system really doesn't have anything to do with my real life and who I am as
a person, but there's something insanely demoralizing about having your
organizational tool present you with constant negative information.

Hi,

No tasks assigned to other people do not count towards your karma in anyway at all. Do you see the -3 all the time for sure, where are you looking to see this, you click on the Karma Score, then? I'd just like to confirm its indeed updating each time - an amount.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hello!

Yes, with each update (when I click on Todoist Karma Help to see the
itemized list) there is a -3.

Hi,

Sadly, I can not seem to reproduce this, and there has been no other reports. A test that takes a bit of time but may determine the issue is to turn on Daily Digest in the settings area, wait for the morning Digest, and see if it lists the Overdue tasks, then you can try to find them, to make sure 100% its no within your account.

Besides this, I will have to pass this along as its not easy to determine the cause.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi!

I will enable the daily digest right away!

I get a task assigned to someone else in my daily digest and lose Karma for their overdue task. This started when I tried to build real life good karma, by adding a comment to help them out and bring it to their attention. Now I lose karma for their overdue task. Actually, they might not have assigned it to themselves (so it is unassigned), but they get notified when someone adds a comment.

Hi David,

Please try clearing the cache of your browser as well as the other user's cache (ask him or her) that's causing you to lose Karma points. It is possible that this is a caching issue.

Clyde

Thank you, but that didn't work. I just deleted the due date, which I feel is cheating. That should work.
