iOS apps not syncing in the morning

S

Hello!

Every morning when I open my todoist apps for the day, they don't sync automatically. When I check under settings, they say something like "last sync 10 hours ago".
Changing views does not help.
During the day, it auto syncs most of the time, though not every time I open the app.

Loggin out and back in or reinstalling does not fix anything - the problem returns the next day. I'm running version 8.3.1 (12214) on iOS 7.1.1, not jail broken or anything.

The behavior is beyond annoying as it ruins trust in the software - I have to check if the software synced reliably every time before I check my todos.

When will this be fixed?

Best wishes
Silvia

Hi Silvia,

Just to clarify, are there any tasks that are not synced at all? Changes made are pushed to other platforms. So if there are none to sync, your iOS app doesn't need to be updated.

If you're having tasks not showing up, is it from the iOS app to the web or is it tasks from the web not showing up in the iOS app?

Clyde

Hello!

It's clearly visible that tasks would need to be synced as task that were marked done or rescheduled on other platforms are still shown as overdue on the iOS app. And if I force-sync by pressing the sync button, the tasks are shown correctly.

Hi Silvia,

Can you please specify the type of activities/actions that are not being synced to the iOS app? I'd like to try and test this myself. I can report this to our developers but the more details we have, the better of chances of use fixing the issue. Thanks in advance!

Clyde

Hello Clyde,

What do you mean "the type of activities not synced"? Whatever was done on my other devices.
Today, I missed a few added tasks, a few tasks marked done, and a whole lot of tasks that I had rescheduled from being overdue to being due today were still shown as overdue.
It's not like only some things are not synced and a few are synced.

Hi Silvia,

This is what I'm looking for.

- few added tasks
- a few tasks marked done
- a whole lot of tasks that I had rescheduled from being overdue to being due today were still shown as overdue

So basically, every changes you made on other platforms. I need to get all the details right as that might give us a clue why this is happening. I'll pass this to our developers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,

Clyde

Hi Silvia,

Yes, we will keep you posted if we have news regarding this issue. Please note though that our iOS developers are currently busy on a new feature that we're hoping to launch very soon so they might not be able to take a look at it right away.

Clyde
