Reminder notification

P

Hi,

Do the reminders notifications work on the Todoist iOS app only when my iPhone is to a wifi/3G network? Why doesn't it work when my phone is offline? Is this something that will be fixed soon?

Thanks,
Pratheek

Hello Pratheek,

That's correct, on iOS, the reminders require an internet connection as they're sent through Apple's servers. We hope it can be addressed and we'll look into it.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,
To be honest, that's very disappointing to hear, as the primary reason why I upgraded to Premium was to be able to enable Reminders and get Notifications. And when you say that you "hope it can be addressed", that doesn't sound promising. I wonder why this isn't a standar feature, since it's there on every other app like Fantastical or Any.Do etc? Anyways, thank you for the prompt response, and hoping to see this addressed soon.

Pratheek,

On Android, offline notifications are already available in our app. I know that there were some issues supporting them on the iOS platform at first, but again - we hope to have them on iOS too and we'll certainly look into it to offer the same functionality as on other platforms. Unfortunately, I can't give you any specific timeframe as we always work on multiple improvements and include them in updates.

Best regards,
David
